After reading the Home and Overview pages, the Primer is the suggested next reading. As its name implies, it provides a basic understanding of the issues involved in defusing the nuclear threat and is divided into the following six sections:

1. Why worry about nuclear weapons now? Isn’t the Cold War over?
2. How destructive would a failure of nuclear deterrence be?
3. How likely is a failure of nuclear deterrence?
4. Can we really change?
5. How can I discuss such a serious topic without putting people off?
6. What about global warming? That effort has a lot of momentum. Shouldn't we put our efforts there instead?
